Daily Prompt: Breaking the Law
Think about the last time you broke a rule (a big one, not just ripping the tags off your pillows). Were you burned, or did things turn out for the best?
I am a law breaker, not so much, a civic law breaker but in a bigger eternal scale. I think the daily post is wondering about when i smoked pot last, or broke in to a car or house. I think they are looking for something big that one got caught at and somehow didnt get penalized. Well I am raising the question to a diferent, hirer bar.
Being a law breaker is something woven in my very fabric. But who’s law? now let me enlarge the picture, i am not a person who believes all people are basiclly good. That , I know , goes against popular notions. The laws i break aren’t petty. Its not alist of bad actions, its a natural bent, against Gods law. Whats the law?
You know how it started? God said you can do and eat but don’t eat from that tree. And he did eat and that penalty for eating was transfired to everyones DNA. But i didnt get burned He did.
In our church we have a time of confession. Its not in a box with a preist, its a quiet time in prayer with the judge, God. Its a time of recongizing our natural condition and what God did for those who embrace Jesus, God’s son. its the gospel. God allowed Jesus His son to get burned for me.
Good post. DP added the idea of breaking “the law,” my suggestion was just about “breaking the rules.”
the law certainly places a bigger code. It’s a lot of fun doing the dp.
Yes it is!
Breaking God’s law is much harder to reconcile oneself.
thats just it only God can reconcile Gods law
