wednessday ride

i read in a bicycling mag. one should try riding in all elements of weather. so i left work to ride home. had my Philly flyers jersey on and cloth gloves. i chose the back roads way as the sun was setting. i coveted every ray of warmth as the wind tried its best to get to my marrow. the temp was diving from 40 to 28 low tonight.

one of the joys of biking is looking at plants in the landscapes. i like to see how people perennials especially the ones i grow. found some good photo places to check out later. sedums taking over 3inch road rocks acting as erosion control.

the ride was tougher than monday because of the wind and i am convinced my body did not agree with my mind in its resolutions. plus i think mad elf lingers.

i used to think when i passed pretty girls jogging the opposite way that their smile ment something. but i think their smile is more like yes a brother fitness person braving the elements proving to the world that fitness rules and mc donalds drools ls. also its always a cool thing to have a real biker pass the opposite way and give the yes we really are cool nod.

i may be gasping for air and wondering why im doing this but i kept going. i did stop twice where i could have made a dash for the bus. i have each hill measured. the hardest i just walked some.

so after a good dinner of fish tacos no beer no wine just be satisfied with earl grey hot tea and milk.
