Lewisia Rainbow Mix An alpine native of the mountains of the north-east. Succulent leaf rosettes, that are quite attractive with shades of evergreen foliage. They grow best on the side of a cliff. So think of that when you choice a sight. It like a quick evacuation on water. so planted in rocks is a good idea. In fact a granite mulch is the best. Soil is ok if you add lots of air and drainage to it. Its roots aren’t real deep, so a small pot is adequate.

After saying all that, it is by far one of my personal favorites, its blooms are colorful and waxy looking, they are multicolored, and a real joy to see in the summer. Low to the ground, its worth making a trough garden just for this plant group. Try a gravel bowl on the patio table.
